Don't panic! You actually download the software from our website. All you need to do is follow these instructions to install the software and unlock it into the full version;

If you ordered the CD ROM, your name and unlock key will be on the inside of your CD case printed out on a white sticker. Please note that your unlock key should be comprised of only numbers, ignore any text accompanying it. If you opted for the Free Electronic Delivery (E-Mail method) then your name and unlock key was emailed to the address you provided during the order.

-!!!! IMPORTANT !!!!-

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR UNLOCK KEY STOP BEFORE PROCEEDING TO THE NEXT PART OF THE PROCESS. IF YOU DON'T HAVE, CAN'T REMEMBER, OR HAVE JUST PLAIN MISPLACED YOUR UNLOCK INFORMATION FOLLOW THIS LINK TO GET IT EMAILED TO YOU. REMEMBER TO INCLUDE ALL THE REQUESTED INFORMATION;

Once you have your unlock key information in front of you, lets move on. If you don't have the trial version of the game(s) you purchased you need to download it from whichever of these links is appropriate to you. Click the appropriate link, and save the file to your desktop. Alternately if you own the CD ROM you can install the trial versions from the disk menu as well;
If you are looking for the legacy versions of our games (that use unlock keys) you can find them here:

If your installing Spades, Hearts, or Euchre follow this first set of installation instructions. If your installing Solitaire III, Dangerous Mines, or Backgammon please scroll down to that installation section.

After the file has downloaded, locate it on your desktop or whichever location on your computer you saved it to. Double click the file you downloaded to install the software. You will be presented with a small box. Press the "Install" button on the right hand side. After pressing this the game will install, and eventually the program will open to the "Silver Creek Entertainment Presents" waterfall screen. Next it will say "Trial Version" and prompt you to "Play" or "Play Online".

Down on the bottom of this box you will see some text that reads "Click here if you have already purchased Hardwood Spades (or whichever program were installing). If your having trouble locating this text, find the "Cancel" Button on the bottom right, and trace your finger directly to the left. You should be putting your finger directly over the text. Clicking on this text will bring you to a screen asking for your name and unlock code.

Enter your name in the "full name" field EXACTLY as it was emailed or shows on your label. Then enter your unlock key numbers in the "Key" field. Your unlock code should be 3 sets of 4 numbers (xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-). It is ok that there is a dash at the end of the last number, that is supposed to be there. After you have entered the information press the "OK"button.

You will now be back at the "Play" or "Play Online" screen. Press "Play" and the program should restart. It should read as "Full Version Registered To YOUR NAME" and load to the "HardwoodGames.Com" menu. Congratulations, your full version is installed.

For Hardwood Solitaire III, Ruckus Buck's Dangerous Mines, and Hardwood Backgammon the process is slightly different and can be completed as follows.

A box will appear that says "When the game starts, you will be prompted....." and will have an "OK" button. Press the "OK" button and you will now be back at the "Play" or "Play Online" screen. Press "Play" and the program should restart.

When it restarts, after the "Silver Creek Entertainment Presents" screen you will see a box come up that says "You unlock key seems to be entered...." and another "OK" button. Go ahead and press "OK" and you will be brought to a new screen with your name and unlock key entered. If you are not connected to the internet, please minimize the game and do so now. When you are connected to the internet, press the "Unlock Via Internet" button on the screen we are at.

A box with some animated gears turning will appear. You will see "retrieving data" and then a box will appear saying "Thank you for purchasing" and have options to "Restart" or "Exit". Press the "Restart" button and the game will close and then restart. It should read as "Full Version Registered To YOUR NAME" and load to the "HardwoodGames.Com" menu.

Congratulations, your full version is installed.
