I think the biggest point should be not the game by herslef but the philosophy behind it. When I said that Duplicate will improve skills of player i rely on 3 points to arrive at this conclusion. Assuming that Duplicate force player to make the better of their hand: 1- Players will have to evaluate ...

Re: "On any given day"

Thank you to Just_Ice, Joe and Galt. Your point of view are very, very interesting and it's shows that every system have is own limit. I do think that Hardwood and Jonas should take a real shot at duplicate and implant it in their software. The software is great and they can improved it by adding th...

My idea of duplicate is to have the MAXIMUM LEVEL OF PLAY. Duplicate reward skills and clean play by removing the luck factor. Duplicate will likely be for high skill or experience players. Duplicate will: 1- add excitement by removing luck in the process. Luck is " overwhelming " and can scrap easl...

Re: Duplicate Spades (R)

You will like Duplicate--as it will allow you to see exactly how well you do against other players. While the luck of the deal is eliminated, you still have to make the most of the cards you are holding. That's exactly, in my mind, what high skill players are looking for. When two pairs of player a...

Duplicate

Just see that Silvercrk add a suicide 2 pass room... I though that Duplicate was more interesting then a suicide room... Guess suicide room was easier to make then a duplicate one...

Having been a TD myself, I know the problems so I'm a little more flexible. My limit's 15 mins then I'm gone. And I get VERY cross when tours don't start on time when there's enough players because the TD is greedy and wants more players or decides to help a latecomer/newbie. Help the latecomer/new...

Re: Victory Messages

Hi, I think we have to let people write the victory message they want it too. The victory message simply told you what kind of player the person is. You have two class of winners: 1- People who knows that a win is a win but are very humble in the victory. 2- People who think that a win is the end of...

Re: Bags - Change them or keep them the way they are?

Hi, I voted to keep the 10 bags penalty. I don't think we should change the game to avoid bagging., simply because bagging is a poor strategy to win . Bagging CAN BE useful in certain circonstances which mean win or losing the game. Using the bagging strategy properly requires skill, experience and ...

Re: Are reports read and acted upon?

HI, I think the option of filing a report is a tool where players can write their frustration. I don't think HW will hire someone to read all the post they receive. The problem is not the report himself but why they exist? I think the " filing a report " is more an admission from HW that they will b...

Re: Anti Quitting Features

Hi Jonas,

I do recognised your efforts against quitting and i think those new features will help... but until HW will have a nick limitation, i don't think those features will really grows at their full potential... Anyway, thanks for trying to improve the quality playtime in HW site. :P

Not at all... You are more a devil then an Angel LOL  Exactly.. Just because I use the nic "Heaven" most certainly does not mean I'm an angel :D Oh and I know of nics that were playered that were made as a joke and not at all offensive in any way. Won't give any examples, but I think most p...

Hi, The best solution is to have an ANTI-DANA. No more talking anymore... lol Bama, didnt read ur post up until now. You can talk all you want, since it doesn't slow us down :) and you never talk about the cards. And to be honest Tess, I think it would be even harder to get a game going when t...

A brief return...

Hi, Let's make it short. I think it's a great idea to make some HW tournament a qualifier for the spades grand prix. It gives player, who want it too, a chance to test their skills more further with some nice and strong player. I saw lots of arguments about some championship who are sanctionned by t...
