TO is the most culturally diverse city in the world (so everyone would feel welcome), it's Canadian (so everyone is friendly), and it's where the best euchre player in the world lives (so you can learn something). So take some allergy pills, forget about bad hockey towns like Ottawa that do nothin b...

I actually like this question cuz so many ppl would read up a crk's responce and agree. But then give 'em that hand and watch 'em blow it. Eldest actually has an easy decission, and ideally is the one that called trump. He needs to get the bowers out so his low trump and ace are good. Really crappy ...

Thx Joe, I got the book and it's great, there's alot more in it than I thought too: history of the game, different versions & rules. I really liked the example hands and what you should lead part. (I may do a few things differently from time to time, but one should know the right thing to do b4 one ...

LOL Grandma.....I just love to see ppl telling other ppl stuff like calm down, and have patience. Never known a better way to get some1 upset than to tell them to calm down. Are you in denial about serecetly wanting to get other ppl upset? As for the 7's up. Sure, why not. Can't hurt as an...

Just a suggestion

I have to admit, I'm not much of a solitaire player but my father is and he had my playing a little. The thing that struck me was that there are some games where it simply isn't possible to win because of how the cards are dealt (ie. the wrong ones got burried behind higher cards). Also, I'm not fim...

Ok Joe, I've never heard these b4 but I'll give 'em a go:

1. The maid was arrested because there's no mail on Sunday.
2. He shot himself in the mirror.
3. Frost forms on the inside of windows, not the outside.

I've only checked this thread a few times, but every time I seem to see something about blocking. And since I don't play alot any more, might as well give up all my secrets. Convention says it's best to block when you have an advantageous position, and a loner on the part of your opponents could put...

First of all, I wasn't whining at all. Just stating facts. And maybe I do take it a little seriously some times. But my intent was more to educate those that were unsure, than those who have already made up their mind incorrectly. On a related, but different note. I noticed GrandmaS mentioned that "...

Well that's certainly one way of looking at it. But it's still unnecessary, and like Stacey said: unsportmanlike! Since others have tried to give a sports analogy....I'll give you the best, and really only, one I can think to liken it to: Match play in Golf. For those that havn't played: basically, ...

On 9, there is no reason you would ever have to go alone. On 8, however, there are times when you have a better chance of getting 4 by yourself than you do of getting 2 with your partner. I don't think anyone in here so far has said anything about doing it on 9. Yes on 9 is overkill, but on 8 at ti...

Going alone when you don't have to is rude...plain and simple. You can dress it up by saying you're just having fun or you're curious if you could get the loner. But it's still rude. When i say "don't have to," let me be clear. On 9, there is no reason you would ever have to go alone. On 8, however,...

I find it interesting that some of the guides are deffensive. Maybe some of them do like the feeling of power and want an easy way for other ppl to think of them as go-to ppl. :? Allow me to clarify the point. It seems to me that Admin, who doesn't want to spend the time policing the site themselves...
