Re: We Were Wrong

Good to see rumors of Ur demise have been over estimated. If simplicity amuses you, then enjoyment of the game must be the challenge. Anyways have fun with that!

Re: Lopsided Deals

openshut *IF* they were to use a nonrandom system, how would they decide who to favor? I've never seen any real evidence of bias on Hardwood. No more so than I've seen playing spades in real life. I understand what you're saying, that they *could* do it, but again, why? There's no motive for Hardwo...

Re: Lopsided Deals

I like what your thinking chasing, unfortunately this is not how a non-random system would work. Mind you, you have already pointed out how you think it would fail and you are correct in that respect. A non random system would use the KISS method. Think of rope walking with a pole. So as the system ...

Re: Lopsided Deals

This is poor logic to indulge in, so now i must be the devils advocate, Most not all online Spades sites have a benefit for having rigged card deals thus allowing weaker players to not loose interest.
To be clear, I am just demonstrating the poor logic displayed above.

Re: Lopsided Deals

Not a great idea sailing to suggest sending in hands, sort of say sending in 100 billion it will not mean anything. So that is a really bad road to even dream of. I tried counting to a million before several times I will not embarrass my self by telling you how many hundreds I got to. The Number of ...

Re: Your bid?

This then tells me you might not be familiar with the concept of subtracting your counted losers. At times you can have a very strong hand and judging its strength can be tricky. So you assume you will defend the value of your hand solely , then subtract that which is out of your control. You can al...

Re: Your bid?

I would bid 8 also . But I am more curious why this super safe situation, has motivated you to share. I figured no one was making out your picture so I took it upon my self to help. I am kinda be-miffed at your response Sailing. Because your partner is expected to do something and he does not, is ac...

Re: Last Hand Bid Puzzle

Only one bid here and it is 3. Problem is that you cannot depend on anyone for certain thus uncertainty is your only friend. Your partner bidding one implies they have little help to offer you while your hand does posses some strength. this mean tactically your hand can be dangerous if the opponents...

Re: programs

That is a huge if. Besides no one in their right mind would use an individual selector for each card. there would simply not be enough entropy. The deck must be thoroughly randomized first , then the shuffled array is cut.

I believe you skipped the implied meaning that ratings are calculated individually from the link you provided. This would then make any iteration of the question you can dream into existence moot!

Re: How Bad Play gets Rewarded

Very astute dustin and while I venture off to search the 5.4 billion billion billion deals for the perfected situation to present an argument... well please do not expire for I will be back in say a million years. Or! We can do the more practical thing and explain what is going on and the type of mi...
