Re: Lopsided Deals

I agree, as I said, people see what they want to see, no matter how illogical it is

Re: Lopsided Deals

openshut *IF* they were to use a nonrandom system, how would they decide who to favor? I've never seen any real evidence of bias on Hardwood. No more so than I've seen playing spades in real life. I understand what you're saying, that they *could* do it, but again, why? There's no motive for Hardwoo...

Re: Lopsided Deals

*IF* the deals were rigged to favor weaker players, so they wouldn't lose interest, that would mean deals would be rigged against stronger players, penalising them, so they'd quit in disgust. Either way, it makes no sense. Last time I checked the leader boards, it looks like about 50% of the players...

Openshut;

Ok, yeah, I can see now that the picture isn't as clear as it could be, I thought you could click on it here and it would show it full size. Why did I share it? Why not? Simple curiousity.

Openshut?

Just wondering, did you type out the hand for people who can't understand pictures? What would you bid?

Re: Software License Agreement isn't an allowed topic?

Really, last time it was posted in the forum was in November, seems you're the one bringing it in here. (shrug) For the record, YOU not wanting to see it, or finding it offensive, doesn't mean "others" feel the same. Ultimately, guides are just users. The question has never been answered, how do gui...

Deal Program

There's been a lot of complaining lately in spades (partners) about what people feel are the inequalities of the deal. Personally, every spades site I've ever been on, people complain about the deal. However, tho I don't see it as earth shattering, even I have to admit that lately there seem to have...

Sound effects in games

What are the chances of getting a few new sounds added? A chime, or something when players join the game. Sometimes, while hosting, if it's taking a long time to get players, I (and others have said the same thing) will switch to another window to check something. Gets boring sitting there waiting. ...

Re: It wasn't broke, why fix it?

I meant more like a "Ready To Start" button, signifying that you're ok with starting. The host would still have to actually start the game. If someone was refusing to press the button, stalling the game, the host can just kick them. Thanks for adding the delay, but 10 seconds is barely enough time t...

It wasn't broke, why fix it?

Why was it changed so you're now stuck in a game before you bid? If you're going to do that, you should, at the very least, put in a button so that all the players have to agree to the game starting. Sometimes, because the games 'jump', you can wind up in a game you didn't intend to join, and the ho...

Re: Leaving a game after deal, but before bid

As currently programmed, if someone is in a seat, and the game starts, cards are dealt, and the player leaves, that seat is unrated for the game, and the player who leaves suffers no penalty. I'm only basing that on how it's worked for me, I've left games pre first bid (because I didn't like the P (...
