"Fun Euchre.

I would be very interested in helping with a fun Euchre gathering in the Spring time, April, 2008 (The upcoming Fall / Winter are very busy times for many of us, not to mention the Holidays and possible bad weather.) The mid west would be a good location, as many Euchre players live in this general ...

7's Game

Yes, I agree that the "7's" game is an excellent alternative to the traditional 9's game, the latter of which is the current standard. It would certainly result in a decrease of Loners! I would consider 7's as a side or exhibition event at next year's Grand Prix tournament, if the interest is there....

The dealer holds (after he picks up the ninespot of spades:) Right Bower, Left Bower, nine of spades, Ace of clubs, Ace of hearts. The Eldest hand (defender to the left, and player with the opening l...

A unique occurrence....

I have seen this hand only ONCE in 40 years of playing Hearts. It occurred in a "live" tourney in Boston in late 1977... It created such an uproar that the hand to be tossed in! The Rules of Hearts clearly prohibit the dropping of the spade Queen on trick one (if the deuce of clubs lead applies). Ho...
