Re: Still No 7's. Is anyone actually listening??

Spades and shovels There is an endless variety of spades (for cutting into compacted earth) and shovels (for moving looser earth) and scoops (with larger, more bowl-shaped heads for moving even looser material like ground corncobs); with long handles, or shorter handles that end in a D-shaped grip f...

Re: What would you do?

He told me that it was an absolutely fundamental error that I made and that he would not partner me if I made such mistakes again. Btw, with comments like that from your p, i would send his name to the bottom of the barrel of future partners (jeez, hope it wasn't me  ), regardless of card abil...

Re: What would you do?

I would've put the game on PAUSE, rang partner and asked to discuss a hypothetical situation in euchre that has been bothering me. When I have my p's input, I would know how to continue and am vindicated!!!! For the record I would've come back 10S on the assumption my p has the Right bauer an...

Re: New Room In Euchre

I agree with the room. However I think the 'any nic goes' is a bad choice. I feel the nics should be allowed to enter both rooms, so therefore the Smoots naming rules should apply. The language will dissipate gradually as the novelty wears off, but I for one like the idea of being allowed to critici...

Re: Loppy Tables

7's up deck, game to 11pts (as per the live deck, scoring is using the 6 and 5 cards in real life), loners (a march) is 3pts, euchres 2 pts, contract made (but not all tricks) 1 pt..............damned simple!!! Lets do it and then I don't have to read any more about loppy deals....... The above were...

Re: Random Deal Generator

I believe that the bottom line to this discussion is simply whether you are enjoying the site or not. Somedays I love it, it doesn't depend on whether I'm winning or losing, it just simply depends if I am having a competitive day. Other days I get angry, sarcastic, and give certain people a challeng...

Proposed improvement to HW Euchre

Over the years I have played, I have found it an annoyance when someone leaves a game without clicking on the 'Play Again? - Yes/No' button at the table. It then takes an inordinate amount of time for HW to reset that table. I think that when a player leaves that seat the software should automatical...

Re: Music Trivia - Brain Buster!

After more than a few drinks I sing a lot of songs where the title, the original lyrics and the melody are all missing. I strut like Jagger, sing like a bird, and hide next morning, its a repeat performance, totally sold out.

Jonas swallowed the grasshopper, we are waiting the renaissance. New chorus to 'Yellow Submarine' as sung by HW Angel during the Guides Tourney.....the rendition is threatening to go number one with a little local sponsoring. We all live in a sevens euchre regime Sevens euchre regime, sevens euchre ...

Re: 7's Revolution

Well it seems the technical experts are incapable of devising a 7's up euchre variation (reverse psychology works wonders on egos), they must view it as being a pariah, like a Georgia thanksgiving turkey with two heads. No matter, us, the populous, will prevail...it is written Any references to peop...

Re: Standardised Win/Loss Ratings for Provis

Whats all the hu-ha...so it takes a little longer to get to 1700 or beyond because of the first 20 games. In the big picture the first 20 are insignificant. I presume u reset as well to try to get to the perfect 20...take it on the chin and just enjoy the game!!

Now now AB, u know Josh would always have 3 spades when clubs have been turned down....one to loosen the sods, one to dig the hole, and one to bury the opponents.

May the Angels from a million stars protect you and your family over the festive season. And the thunderbolts of Thor punish those that threaten your little oasis in Paradise. Enjoy the time, enjoy the family, be kind, and remember, grumpiness is only an unkind word away from happiness, so best keep...
