Re: Leads of a singleton Ace against a Loner.

Hehe, i love this. Todd, that is just another scenario lead, bent to fit a problem. It's NOT the best percentage lead over thousands of games, i'll bet ya on it. One day you will realize this.

I watched these two all the way through the Tourney, very well done guys, nice job. You drink pretty good as well, a little slow, but we can work on that.

Re: Rules for 7's up Euchre

Terry is right, we do play to 11, but just to get the 7s up format would be fantastic, as Janet said, we don't need to mess with the rules, keep it in HW boundaries. The Brit game played in other parts of the world is to 11 points also, HW plays that to 10 points, which is fine.

Re: Rules for 7's up Euchre

Hi Jonas, the format for the 7s up game are very straight forward, just add the 7s and 8s, it's exactly the same as the game you have now, but with 8 more cards. There is no need at all to alter anything. I suggest that you leave the British rules game just as is. Your version of the game on here is...

Re: Brand New Topic, Never Posted Before

I think i am too angry to make another reply to this new subject, but i'l give it a go. It makes no sense that HW can't introduce an OPTION to a game which would basically solve the one sidedness of the deal and the runaway loners all in one hit, just by adding the (8) extra cards. Millions of peopl...

Re: The G with some Basics.

Played some of my normal 7s up live Euchre last night and had a scenario that was quite mind boggling. I turned my deal down, Jack of Hearts. The 1st seat passed. My P called a Spade loner with the Right bower only, supported by the Ace, King, 10 and 7 of hearts. The 1st seat led the 9 of hearts, my...

Re: The G with some Basics.

I can't remember where i mentioned that Janet, it's amongst the mess somewhere. You are right, normally it's a horrid lead, so many more options, but in saying that, i have led what has been turned down, to known next baggers and in provi games where you know they will have one. Hah, why do i do it,...

Re: leading trump

I wasn't going to answer this, but feel that Chris is having a tough time about the word Random, so i will. Whatever we feel about the unfairness at times of the deal, IT IS RANDOM, once you interfere with that and try to put something in there to equal it out, that's when the deal becomes UNRANDOM,...

Re: leading trump

Lmao, you are forgetting something cdoggg674 that you probably don't know anyway. Euchre in Australia and New Zealand is their national card game with other longer versions of the game, namely 7s up and the real Mcoy, a game called 500. Now considering that's all i use to play and that i'm twice you...

Re: leading trump

Cut it out i have to get my work done today, i can't stop laughing. And as for you cdoddd674, i would check out the real advantages of leading trump at the opposition, regardless of whether you have aces or not, especially if one of the opposition orders their P. Have fun and keep calling. :) :) Een...
