Parding in Same House

Hi, I need a refresher. I know that two people in the same house can pard in a social game. If we wanted to pard in a rated game is that possible? We would never do it without letting the opps know, and are not ever sure if we would, but we just wanted to know. Kathi has not played in years, but has...

Re: No More Social

I am not really clear what that has to do with what I posted.

These players, apparently, are not able to engage in chat.

My problem is not with social games, which I greatly enjoy although it is hard to get players to sit.

Regarding learning, isn't that what provi games are supposed to be for.

Re: Where is Joe

Thanks much. Somehow I had missed that page. The phone number is different and I will give it a shot.

Where is Joe

I have not been able to contact Joe Andrews for several months.

Do any of you happen to know if there is anything going on with Joe or how to get hold of him?

Hope things are ok.

No More Social

I am guessing that the unfortunate situation with social games has something to do with the new version of the software. Social games are almost entirely populated by players whose records are not shown and who, apparenly, cannot chat. I have stopped even looking at the games. It is not a good thing...

Re: Is there a total bid limit?

Only the best of the worst would be able to figure this one out while on the bid clock... lol.

How long can a table show as open when nobody is there?

Lately, with one player in particular, a table will show in the lobby for what seems like hours as waiting for players. I have stopped sitting because he is most often not there. I don't recall that this used to be possible... hosting a table, leaving, and the table sitting there asking for players ...

Is there a total bid limit?

I ran into something for the first time today. I subbed in a game. When I got in there the bids were 2 to my right, 12 at my spot (another obvious drive-by bid), and 3 to my left. My pard said that he had no option but to bid Nil. He could not bid 1. He had 5 spades and wound up getting completely s...

Wow.

I saw a you tube yesterday of a model plane that was printed and flies with working control surfaces.

Re: Off Topic but Beyond Words

I was talking about it with my brother who did some reasearch on it.

It seems that there is some CAD work involved, which makes a lot more sense.

Even so, it is still pretty amazing technology.

Re: Off Topic but Beyond Words

Think of the can of worms that this opens up regarding patent infringement.

I wouldn't like it if someone made a copy of my book for his or her friend, and now someone can do virtually the same thing with a given object.

Re: Off Topic but Beyond Words

I'm gonna wait until I can get one at Costco. That way I can return it if it ever stops working.

Off Topic but Beyond Words

Other than just suggesting that y'all watch this, I don't think it needs words.
