What would one do if they remember the nic, but don't remember the password, and the email they registered with doesn't exist anymore? I have an old nic from when I played in 2000. I'm not sure I'd want to play on it again, but very curious about my history on it. Maybe if it has a higher rating I w...

Unfortunately I've seen people cheat at singles. At MSN there were card counting programs people had. I don't think any of those programs work at Hardwood. As Mompsu said, make friends with people. I had a lot of friends who arrived at this site from the Zone at the same time I did. But I've also ma...

A true lowman game will come down to each player being in the 90's and the last hand determines the winner and some of those were the best and most fun games I ever played. It is true very hard to find those players anymore that love that sort of game and have to seek them out, put them on your pla...

10 points for the 10 of hearts? That's an interesting concept. It's like having one spot heart amongst the 13. I played hearts with a group of guys at work for about 5 years. They had a couple of interesting rules I had never encountered before. There was a 10 point penalty to the player who passed ...

Re: all players understand how to play to hit low and know w

HushAndBeStill, Lowman games used to be easy to find…. Unfortunately times have changed! I’m not a great player by any means. I just enjoy playing to hit the lowman even if that means I have to eat the queen trying. It has been so long since I have played lowman hearts that I feel like I have f...

I think the safety moon adds interesting elements to the game. 1. The player who is over 26 points lower can't just be giving moons away with the idea of winning because someone goes over. (We did this a lot at the Zone because there was no safety moon.) 2. If you're really trying for low and it's c...

Hearts question regarding default settings

In my windows version of hearts it leaves what ever settings I used in the last game I set. In the mac version it defaults to jack of diamonds and nothing else checked. I never set a JOD game, and I always pick rated. It's kind of annoying. Is there any way to chnage the default settings?

The game in question still has not appeared on my web profile. Since I don't keep a game by game tally of my placings, I have no idea if it even ended out there either. It was a TOP tourney game which is always rated. Don't remeber how I did, but if I came in 4th I hope it didnt show up.

Question about web profile

I happened to be looking through my web profile at last couple of days worth of results. I noticed that my preliminary round from yesterday's TOP tourney wasn't there. Those games stand out since they play to 200 in the first round. Here was tonight: 7359777 R 2006-12-13 20:18:49 jim_bo_us (76) Joan...

I think I'd put that guy on your DNP list for the poor heart play on the first nil try:P I tend to play conservatively so on the second hand in question I think I probably would have bid 1. Even if my stiff K of dias doesnt make it through, there's a very good chance I can trump a diamond at some po...

Play rated games. The amount of crap in prov games is 1,000 times higher then 1700 and above. People can make a new nic JUST to go cause trouble. And people on a trial nic are here and gone. They just don't care about the TOS. I Play alot of 1700 and better games and I see VERY VERY VERY little of ...

Re: Friends List

:D A few players asked me if I would post in here and ask again about a Friends List, so here it is. :D If possible they would like one added to Hearts, apparently the zone used to have one, and it worked well. http://bestsmileys.com/friendly/4.gif The Friends List feature at the Zone was very usef...
