Hearts2.5 Bld80 "Partnership Play" won't de-select

Hearts updates--version 2.5 Build 80 "Partnership Play" won't de-select

I recently downloaded the April updates and no matter what I've tried when I open Hearts to play off line 1 person against the computer the "Partnership Play" is selected. I've tried:

* de-selecting, playing a game, quiting, reopening Hearts
*de-selecting, playing a game, quiting, restarting Mac, reopening Hearts
*uninstalled Hearts--downloaded "fresh" version from Silver Creek
