hiding stats with player needs to upgrade

Post by Synderyella » Thu Jan 07, 2010 12:20 am

I really get tired of seeing this in people's profile hiding their ratings. Especially prevalent in backgammon. They play over 200 games in the past few years but I cannot see their win/loss ratio or rating. If you do not make them upgrade before playing then they have an advantage over those of us who have our stats revealed. I would like the option to hide my ratings win/loss also. How can I get that upgrade thing to block my stats? Why don't you make them upgrade before allowing to play again? I see this in hearts some too. Not so much in spades.

Well the idea was to give an incentive to upgrade so they could see them. Didn't really think it was a benefit to not be able to see your rating.

So from your perspective it's a good thing to "hide" you rating?

If you'd prefer to not play those players, I think you can just set your 'join requirement" to "established only" and that should weed them out.
