Sweet all you have to do is go back to the same form and there will be a box to click that says you want to remove it. :)

My interest is only in the technical aspect of ... how does HW know if somebody has linked it on his or her site?

Is it done by looking backwards at where clickthroughs came from?

Just so you know I am not ignoring your question Galt, I don't know how they know, hopefully someone who does know will come along and answer this question for you.

Not sure either but...

I am sure it's in the coding. I know there are scripts that can tell which website I was travelling when going to another. It could also be validated by clicking on the link from the personal website directly. Just a guess though :)

Blue Star

Post by lastrahm » Fri Apr 20, 2007 10:51 am

I was on line today and tried to ask what the blue star was. For the life of me, the people with the blue star totally ignored my question and said they answered my question when they didn't.

I am still slightly confused as to what the blue star signifies and how one gets it. Call it the major blond moment before finals week.

If it is for good players, isnt that what the ratings are all about? Why add something else?

The blue star is a kind of thank you from SCE if you have a web page and put a link back to Silver Creek Entertainment. Then you fill out a form and get a blue star by your name.

Link for form is
http://www2.silvercrk.com/Rewards/instructions.html

Link to the page where you can get a link to put on your web page is
http://www.silvercrk.com/linktous.htm

If you see someone in the lobby asking please tell them the information is posted here on the discussion board.

Thank you

Thank you for a quick and direct response. I now understand what the blue dot is.

Just my opinion, but surely greeters would be better having blue stars, to show they are greeters, I think they do more for the site than having a website in a profile, which most players wouldn't even be bothered looking at. Just my opinion. :D
