Well, put down where you found about about The game that referred you to spades. So if it was HWSII, then how did you come accross that one.

I've told a lot of people about it. Maybe you should list "Justice told you" as an option?

;)

I found it in a search.

Word of mouth the best advertiser of all. Especially if the person has a particularly BIG mouth such as Justice for example. lolol

For those of you that had folks refered you, do you remember what kinds of things they said that made you want to take the time to check it out?

Hey now, I resemble that remark.

One thing I use frequently (since most of the people I refer are experienced Spades players) is the ability to review all your games, card by card. That really is a powerful feature for advanced players... one that not many (if any) other sites have.

Found Hearts on a search of the internet, got Spades Euchre and Solitare off of suggestions by other players.

"Cause they are just as good as hearts if not better!"

Hmmmmm
Something about good graphics, fooms, friendly chat(unlike yahoo)and a good amount of players at most times of the day or night.
That and "come play one game with me if you don't like it then you can delete it and I'll never bug you about it again"
lol

Actually, for me, Jonas, I was visiting at a friends house and they had it on their computer. So, when we got home we went to the site and downloaded the trial version. Started with Spades, but ended up purchasing Hearts, first.

Mine's not on the list, so I didn't vote. When I bought by computer, (HW Solitarie II trial version) was preloaded by vender. As a matter of fact, vender had HW Solitarie II on their demo puters in the shop, and I ask for it when I bought mine. Through the solitarie game I was introduced to HW Hearts, then Spades, and finally Euchre.

It was about 3 or 4 years ago someone I parded with on Flipside/Uproar told me I needed to check this game site out. Was told Hardwood had awesome graphics and put Flipside to shame. I visited here and within two days I was hooked and put down my $21.95 for the codekey. Oddly enough the person who told me about this site never did purshase the game and they decided to remain at Flipside.

Midnight, it could be interesting to find out why they thought it was cool enough to recommend to you, but not for themselves.

The first few days I came to HW Spades, I did play a few games with this person on trail version. I think suddenly this person got involved in helping running a league at another game system and had no time to involve themself coming to HW. I landed up finding other people to pard with and I did lose contact with this person over the last few years but, last I heard they were an assistant owner of that league so guess things going well for them. They may very well have bought HW Spades but I'm not certain of it.
