There was a bug which caused the bots to always think they were following suit, which had caused some really bizarre leads, like leading the QS (thinking it was being dumped). We have no idea how long it was there.
All the bots are exactly the same.
The bots don't have any more information than any other player, but they do track what's been played.
- Recognize more rules options, particularly "no shoot".
- Partnership Hearts
- Predictability. (I read a paper once about this, saying in a "imperfect information game", it's important to randomize your playing, otherwise you're giving information to the other side.) Esp. w/ regard to anti-shoot strategy
- Estimate likely distribution based on given hand.
- Partnership hearts, with Jack of Diamonds -play the Ace of Diamonds ahead of P, in case partner has the JD. And if your partner is set to win the Jack, play it.
