problems with the updates.........

Post by the count24 » Tue Jan 13, 2004 2:10 pm

I downloaded the new updates today and found some problems. First, i had to end the program starting my first game for an "error" message. And secondly (and more important) the card fronts have poor graphics that are not as defined as the old ones (they seem a little blurry). Tell me what I should do, I want my old version back................
always play your best, and keep counting.....

Somewhere either in the spades or beta spades forums, someone else has given the solution to this count, I just can't find it yet. When I do, I will post the link in here for ya.

I'm not sure if this will help you, but this is what I did to remedy the problem.

Options ---> Graphics ---> Click on Enhanced Mode

It fixed the blurry pictures for me. If anything, you might try fiddling with the graphics options a bit. You'll eventually find the right solution to your problem. Good luck!!

my chat, as well as many other people's chat seems to jump around a lot...it will scroll up and then you have to scroll back down to where it is supposed to be...also, my cards seem to lag a lot now...is there a reason for that?????

Things to try for cards:

A different Deck (Options -> Deck)
Jumbo setting (with new-style decks)
Old Jumbo Deck
Scale (with new-style decks) 150% (right click on board)

That's the solution I was trying to remember Manny, scaling at 150%. I'm sure if they try that it will be a big help.
