Music Trivia - Brain Buster!

Post by Joe Andrews » Mon Mar 17, 2008 8:19 am

What do these songs SPECIFICALLY have in common -

Hint - It is not the artists, or year of release....

1. "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers

2. "The Rain, The Park & Other Things" - The Cowsill Family

3. "Positively Fourth Street" - Bob Dylan

4. "A Lover's Concerto" - The Toys

The first correct answer wins a copy of my book "Rock, Roll, and Reminisce" - A History of Rock and Roll Music, 1955 - 79

Have Fun!

Okay now im just grasping straws here.. were they all a trio song? sung/played/performed by three people?

Tho dylan is a soloist, Janis joplin and someone else sang bob dylans song with him, i think.

The answer is......

The words of the title of each song are never sung (or included) in the lyrics of each song.
For example "Unchained Melody" is not part of the lyrics of that song., etc.

This is one of my favorite questions.....

After more than a few drinks I sing a lot of songs where the title, the original lyrics and the melody are all missing. I strut like Jagger, sing like a bird, and hide next morning, its a repeat performance, totally sold out.
