I can't help myself. I just have to tell ya. My husband and I are going on a cruise-to-nowhere today! Since the new cruise port opened in Norfolk a few years ago we have been promising ourselves a trip and this is the weekend. We will be on Carnival's Victory cruise ship leaving today and coming back Monday morning. No kids, no cell phones. Eat, drink and be merry (and gamble like a fool) is our motto this weekend. I'm excited and just wanted to tell someone! We are getting ready to leave the house and its not that I wanted to rub it in

of course, I just wanted to share. See ya'll next week and try to have a good weekend. I'll toast my HW buddies some time during the trip. (I better do that on the first drink. I'm not promising nothin after that! ) Hopefully we won't run into any icebergs along the way.
woohooooo....

Well have a great time Fresh and don't worry about icebergs, they don't come this far south except in the movies. I could explain all the radar and sat. positioning they used today compared to when the Titanic sailed but your not even going to get close. Now JAWS on the other hand......

Um Frsh...You should have looked at your itinerary before you left....Your 3 day cruise is on Powhatan Pond's in a rubber raft...There are 3 pond's and the Cruise is scheduled for visiting 1 daily....You toast will have to be with a soft drink because Virginia Dept of Game and Inland Fisheries does not allow alcohol on those water's...However you MAY hold up any Crappie or Catfish that you catch....Return trip include's dinner at the Macaroni Grill.....Have a GREAT trip..........
PS....The skeeter repellant is next to the snake bite kit...You will need both when you retire to the luxurious under the star's sleeping facilitie's your excellent travel agent made arrangement's for..

!!! Heyyy!!! That sounds like the travel agent who planned MY last trip!!!

Playing games should be FUN - seek out your own level! Don't frustrate others unnecessarily.

OKay we are back and it was everything it claims to be in their commercials. We had a ball and the service was outstanding. I won't bore you with all the details but the one cruising lesson I'll share is: do
NOT get so drunk that you have a bad hangover. The worse place in the world to be hungover is an ever-so-gently rocking ship in the middle of the ocean. Trust me.
And to brag just a bit my husband almost won enough money in the casino to pay for the trip! He played drunks, I mean vacationers, all weekend that just wanted to gamble a little bit on their vacation and knowing how to play the game really paid off for him.
