Purina diet

Post by Tater » Tue Jan 09, 2007 5:22 pm

I was in Wal-Mart yesterday buying a large bag of Purina Dog Chow for
our
new Yellow Labrador and was in line to check out. A WOMAN BEHIND ME
ASKED IF I
HAD A DOG.

On impulse, I told her that no, I was starting The Purina Diet again,
although I probably shouldn't because I'd ended up in the hospital last
time; but
that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward
with tubes
coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that
it
works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat
one or
two every time you feel hungry, & that the food is nutritionally
complete so
I was going to try it again.

I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was by now
enthralled with my story, particularly a tall guy behind her.

Horrified, she asked if I'd been poisoned and was that why I was in the
hospital.

I said no.....I'd been sitting in the street licking my butt and a car
hit
me.

I thought the tall guy was going to have to be carried out the door!

KEEP SMILING

...Ya know, Tater, that IS a funny story, but it got me thinking, and I realized a few facts...

1) Most pet foods are prepared under more stringent conditions than most PEOPLE food.

2) Many dog foods are nutritionally MORE COMPLETE than a LOT of what we humans normally eat (such as much of the fast-food crap that we shove down our throats).

3) Your "Purina Diet" would probably be a lot healthier than what a lot of people are currently eating, and WOULD be a great diet for losing weight!!!

I actually spoke to a nutritionist, and while she said that she would never recommend that anyone eat dog food that it WAS actually better than many of the diets that she had seen people eating!

...Sometimes ya just gotta think twice when automatically dismissing something as ridiculous!!! 8)
Playing games should be FUN - seek out your own level! Don't frustrate others unnecessarily. 8)
