I feel that the "Darkside Of The Moon" would be an ideal place for euchre players SINCE most of them are from there anyways, no matter where they live now.......

Ah that explains why guides or admins never attend euchre gettogethers:

guides are afraid that us people from the dark side of moon might duct tape them as a real life eqivalent to silencing....
and admins are afraid that we might kick their butts as real life equivalent to banning

Regarding the HW Euchre Gathering (1st weekend of May, 2008)

Here is the proposed choice of cities. If the interest is there, I will
start the preliminary work on organizing a HW "live" event. Remember, this will be a "fun" tournament with no Cash Prizes. Trophies / Medals would be the only awards. The format would feature relaxed rules. And there would be a Round Robin (Individuals') tournament, as well as the traditional partner's game...

5. Lansing, MI

If this event is going to happen, there must be enough interest, and a volunteer hosting staff. Otherwise, this will be an exercise in futility. Do you really want to meet your HW friends for a weekend of "Fun and Games"? Or is this a "dead horse"?

OK,

Now that we have established some interest in a "live" Euchre convention (Fun and Games, No Cash Prizes), let's step up to the plate, and start the ball rolling.

Please refer to choice of city list (previous post).

If you are sincere about attending a "live" Convention / Tournament, then it's time to send an e mail to me. Before I book any hotel space, I want to make sure that the interest is sincere. I will then seletc a site based on the results (# of responses).

Please send an e mail to: heartsmoon@aol.com

Provide your name (first name, last initial), and the Convention city of your choice. Remember, the "gig" is on the first weekend of May, 08. There will be a "meet and greet" on Friday night, tournament action on Saturday, and an awards brunch on Sunday.

Let's make it happen!

i'm down for sure. I'm from ohio, so obviously i would like cincinnati, but as long as i'm not traveling really far i'm in.
