Strategy Tips - can you share?
Strategy Tips - can you share?
I have played hearts for years but I have to admit that I am not the greatest player in the world (ask my husband - ha ha). Any tips you can offer for improvement?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Strategy Tips - can you share?
I think single strategy would be great! Thanks!

I'm not the best player in here either, but only too willing to play a few with you, and i'm sure some players would be only too happy to give you a few tips. If you see me, please ask and we can have a few social games, Sandy

singles, always pass a small heart and cover when you see it. if you have no hearts dealt pass low in other suits and cover high, always if you can keep low and high neve rmiddle cards
and always aim for the low person. set traps and lead low like the 3 of clubs espeically if you know you passed the q
pards, 3 golden rules 1 never open pts on oppenents 2 never lead dia unless you have the jod ( you can lead high dia q k a)
give as many hearts to your p when you dont have a suit that he does, give him all your hearts then hopefull he can get you control to finish off a moon or in some cases a sunshot
lastly if you see someone is very high about to end the game unless your last pass him a shot give him a moon and assist, if he goes out does you no good in 2nd or 3rd

and bear in mind that Lou is talking about shoot games and no shoot requires a different approach, the best way to pick up tips is to play with people, if youi see me on ask and I will help you.

thanks so much! I noticed I play a bit differently than most - and funny - when playing Microsoft Hearts (built in computer game), I win a lot - but the strategy there is way different than in Silver Creek Hearts!

Games with shoot are the true way to play hearts, taking the signature play of the game just feels wrong. its like taking the hr away in baseball.

It is a choice of game types on this site, your personal dislike or likes about gametypes have no relevance to this post LOU!
